ABOUT NIKHIL AGRAWAL

I\'m a GI-HPB Surgical Oncologist who has spent over two decades focused on cancers of the gastrointestinal tract, liver, pancreas, and biliary system. I\'m among a small group of surgeons in India who work exclusively in this field, with particular expertise in robotic and laparoscopic approaches.I trained at AIIMS New Delhi, SGPGI Lucknow, BHU Varanasi, and Seoul National University Bundang Hospital, South Korea. I served as faculty at the Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences (ILBS), New Delhi, where I managed complex cases and lead academic programs. Over the years, I\'ve treated a wide range of GI and HPB cancers, with particular focus on advanced-stage disease, anatomically challenging tumors, and patients with multiple medical considerations. I helped establish GI-HPB oncology programs at Dharamshila Narayana Hospital and later at Max Hospitals in Saket and Gurugram, where I contributed to building one of the larger robotic GI-HPB surgery programs in the country.Currently serving at Apollo Hospitals, I am working toward the development of next generation, multidisciplinary GI-HPB oncology, integrating advanced laparoscopic and robotic surgery with ethical, evidence based and cost conscious cancer care for patients. I\'m also a certified robotic surgery proctor who trains other surgeons in complex procedures.I believe in helping patients understand their diagnosis and options clearly. Cancer treatment involves difficult decisions, and I work with multidisciplinary teams to create treatment plans that make sense for each person\'s situation. My work has been published in medical journals and presented at conferences, but what matters most is ensuring the care I provide is both technically sound and delivered with the integrity patients deserve during a difficult time.
