ABOUT NIKESH R. SHAH

I bring 20+ years of leadership, growth and technology expertise across US and Indian healthcare with experience working at multinational, start-up, public health and global consulting organizations, along with a passion to contribute at the confluence of global health, technology and social impact. I am currently driving growth at i3Digital Health, an oncology health tech company with products and services for oncologists, pharmaceutical and biotech organizations.In my recent role at Tata Memorial Centre, I led the National Cancer Grid’s Koita Centre for Digital Oncology (NCG-KCDO) dedicated to transforming cancer care in India using digital technologies. My primary focus was to enable transformation at NCG and NCG affiliated hospitals across the continuum of care including oncology specific EMRs, national tele-oncology platform, tumor board library, cancer education tools, and oncology data bank supporting AI-ML based innovations. Immediately prior, I managed growth and expansion for a Mumbai based oncology hospital group and led a start-up building a cloud based digital health platform for India. I also serve as an Industry Expert at SteerX, a healtcare focused VC fund.My overall experience covers the payer and provider side managing large scale operations, enabling business transformation and driving technological innovation healthcare organizations. On the provider side, my work has been focused on clinical documentation, care coordination, clinical data analytics and data digitization services. On the payer side, my experience comprises payment processing, claim audits, population health and data analytics. In these roles, I led large and diverse multi geography teams of close to staff. I completed my MBBS from Mumbai University and a Masters in Health Administration from Cornell University. As part of my ongoing professional development, I completed Leadership Training from eminent institutes like HBS, IIM-A and ISB.
