I lead the Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM) facility at the London Centre for Nanotechnology (LCN) — the UK’s leading AFM capability supporting research across UCL, London, and beyond.Our facility houses 14 state-of-the-art AFM instruments, several integrated with epifluorescence and confocal optical microscopes, enabling cutting-edge research in molecular and cell biology, energy materials, quantum devices, and condensed matter physics.My role combines technical leadership, research development, and strategic growth. I focus on:1) Driving innovation in AFM instrumentation and applications2) Expanding research capabilities through internal and external funding3) Building collaborations with academia and industry4) Providing expert consultancy services to industrial partnersPassionate about advancing nanoscale imaging and materials characterization, I work to ensure the LCN remains at the forefront of AFM research and technology.
