Duties involve-Provide technical and scientific advice to SME’s, UK water suppliers and internal employees- Part of Adler & Allan\'s pollutant advisory group, providing opinions on changing technologies forthe removal of “future pollutants”Part of Adler & Allan’s ESG action group, providing technical and scientificadvise to different sectors of the organisation to explain how their sector impacts the environment-Authoring and translating Safety Data Sheets and labels for multiple clientele, to guarantee their compliance with regulations such as EU, UK REACH and CLP- Part of a 24/7 chemical Hazmat team that provides PPE and chemical compliance advice to incident responders- Assist environmental consultants in scientific data interpretation of both ground and surface water samples, to understand the risk to the environment following a release of a chemical-Part of a team of Incident Advisors providing 24/7 specialist emergency advice to commercial customers and the public in the event of accidental exposure or release of chemicals, oils and fuels-Arrange emergency response works including spill response, fuel uplift and decontamination-Qualified Dangerous Goods Safety Advisor -Conduct DGSA audits and writing of reports

ABOUT TOM RICHARDS
Around 3 years ago I started my industrial career working for OHES environmental as a graduate incident advisor. Today I continue to work for OHES Environmental as a Senior Chemical & Pollutants Advisor. This role is multifaceted but day-to-day work revolves around providing 24/7 Hazmat advice to incident responders and assisting environmental consultants in scientific data interpretation. Additionally I also provide SDS authoring and translations services to ensure chemical compliance for SME\'s trading their chemicals globally. Prior to this, I spent 4 years completing a PhD related to developing a sustainable alternative to chlorine for grey water treatment utilising H2 and O2 to generate in-situ H2O2. During this period I developed my self motivation alongside my interpersonal skills with peers and supervisors. I also became a mentor for undergraduate students looking to pursue a career in chemistry.
