ABOUT MANJULA GANDHI S

as an Associate Professor at Coimbatore Institute of Technology for last 25 years and an IBM Qiskit Advocate from September 2020, an IBM Quantum Educator, IBM Certified Associate Developer-Quantum Computation using Qiskit, Mentor at Qiskit advocate mentorship program, translation lead for translating qiskit textbook into Tamil language.I am working in the area of Quantum Computing from 2003 as part of my M.S. and Ph.D. I am teaching Quantum Computing for last three years at CIT and have delivered sessions on Quantum Computing in various institutes across India. My research interests include building reversible circuits, quantum query complexity of graph based algorithms, quantum machine learning and quantum image processing. I am working on quantum projects as part of Advocate mentorship program and mentored eight different projects. I am playing the role of Translation Lead for translating Qiskit textbook into Tamil language. Successfully completed Womanium Global Quantum Program 2023 with full scholarship organized by QWorld and Womanium. I have worked on Quantum software development with Classiq on a project entitled “Designing interactive introduction to quantum computing course with Classiq”, a joint project with a team of quantum experts worldwide, organized by Faculty of Computing, University of Latvia, QWorld and Classiq. This noble teaching profession tenure at CIT has made me understand the importance of education in building a knowledgeable society. I encourage my students to explore various ways of solving a problem to identify the optimized solution and help them to improve their programming through which time and cost effective IT solutions can be implemented in real world environment. I believe the value of knowledge accumulated as academicians and researchers is valuable only when it is shared with others.
