Fire safety assurance lead for the Restoration and Renewal Programme at the Palace of Westminster.Experience of the early planning and development stages of major projects such as $6BN RailCorp metro system in Sydney,$20BN Sadara, Saudi Arabia (the largest new-build power station in the world) and $24BN Doha Metro extension in Qatar. Recently, I led the fire engineering input to Manchester Airport transformation programme (£1BN) for doubling the size of terminal 2.Author of Heathrow fire alarm standard and lead engineer for various fire engineering studies at Gatwick in the South and North Terminals concerning pressurisation, fire safety resilience and baggage hall fire safety compliance.Nuclear fire safety experience at Sellafield, Hinkley Point C, Wylfa and BAE systems. Power station fire strategies for Ratcliffe-on-Soar and Beckton National Grid Gas and West Burton B.Lead project fire safety engineer in multi-disciplinary teams, producing strategies for Bank Station Northern Line, Waterloo and Waterloo International Stations and various other smaller stations. Various train/tram depot fire strategies also produced for Network Rail and London Underground.Key member of fire safety research team for Dublin Metro North for the Railway Procurement Agency. Role included research and site visits to existing European metro systems, producing a report for the RPA to take forward to the RSC to agree a Fire Safety Case. Involved with CIC leadership teams (Building Safety Committee) for Grenfell Tower industry changes and submitted recommendations to the corresponding Hackitt Review. Member of International Fire Safety Standards (IFSS) Coalition, held at the UN, Geneva.
