Current Position: Open Innovation Manager, India; Involves working with academia, SMEs and Partners to win companies to bring in new technologies for Unilever applications. Previous position: Research Scientist in Unilever R&D, Bangalore, India. My work focused on developing new technologies for water purification for POU devices, evaluating existing and upcoming technologies for POU water purification.I have a PhD in materials Science ( Synthesis, characterization and various applications, Green Chemistry). Post PhD i worked with US EPA as an ORISE research fellow in the field of green and sustainable chemistry concentrating primarily on nano materials.I have more than 28 publications in reputed peer reviewed international journals and 5 patents. I am also a reviewer in many International peer reviewed journals.Beyond work, I love to run long distances( 10 K, 21.1K and 42.2k) and go hiking. I have earned my Basic certification in Mountaineering. I also travel extensively to different places.
