ABOUT DOUGLAS LYTLE
I have had a long and varied career in journalism in the United States, central and eastern Europe and currently in London. My roles have involved managing a team for Bloomberg across the countries and coordinating breaking news events with similar teams in Asia and the U.S. and the daily Europlan for breaking news events. The team was responsible for monitoring of inputs including all major wires, Twitter, television, Internet and human-delivered news via phone and other e-delivery devices.I previously held the position of Bureau Chief of the Czech and Slovak offices for Bloomberg and also earlier at Dow Jones. My work has appeared in the Wall Street Journal, the Los Angeles Times, the Oakland Tribune, the Sacramento Bee and other publications in the United States. Along with others I help start the Prague Post, the first weekly English language newspaper in Czechoslovakia in 1991. I am the author of Pink Tanks and Velvet Hangovers (North Atlantic Books, 1994)
