ABOUT DOMINICK MALLETTE

I am a self-motivated, passionate geologist with a meticulous attention to detail and well experienced working in remote and high stress environments. As a Discovery Geologist, I am excited to be working with Anglo American to help develop and run exploration projects in North America and abroad. My previous work experience includes working as a geotechnician in an Au-Cu porphyry system in Terrace, performing a soil sampling program in the Yukon, and working as a field assistant at the University of Calgary along with various field courses. My knowledge of the mining and mineral exploration industry was further augmented through the PDAC Student-Industry Mineral Exploration Workshop in 2019. I have previously been responsible for providing leadership to people during high stress situations as a wildfire sub-leader and this has instilled a rigorous safety-first approach to my work. Additionally, I am a strong advocate for community engagement and environmental stewardship. My aspirations are to become a Project Geologist, to further progress my skill sets and exposure to different mineral systems and exploration techniques, and to develop my network and become more engaged in the geoscience community. I look forward to continuing my career in geology and I am always open to having chats about my past work and any future projects.
