Develops and works with management to conduct or coordinate internal audits of DHCF activities to identify and resolve internal threats to the integrity of DHCF programs and integrates audit findings into internal DHCF program policies and procedures.Researches and analyzes studies conducted at the national, state and local levels on public and private sector health care approaches and service delivery options (Keeps abreast of pertinent policies, laws and regulatory requirements).Makes recommendations to management about approaches to ensure that the agency is informed of best practice standards, innovations and trends in health care programs or insurance plans for persons who are uninsured or under insured.Assists in development and implementation of policy or operational collaborations with other District service delivery agencies to accomplish health system reforms intended to improve delivery of services to vulnerable populations.Develops comprehensive qualitative and quantitative analyses of assigned project segments. Submits design, work plan, timetable and requirements to the supervisor for approval in developing data collection procedures.Implements projects within DHCF to improve program integrity including identifying program specific safeguards needed, recommending work redesign practices and recommending needed policy changes.Assists in investigating and evaluating new or proposed computer projects or the expansion of existing systems associated with internal audits. Participates in management planning, policy, and decision-making sessions regarding needed improvements.
