ABOUT DIEGO BASUALDO

Describing himself as a “right+left brain problem-solver”, Diego Basualdo has a wide-ranging multicultural and international background, spanning over 15 years and across a broad variety of markets and industries. As an Argentinian native, Diego cut his teeth in local Buenos Aires agencies, including McCann, before making the career leap to São Paulo, Brazil, honing his skills at Conspiração Filmes and Publicis, where his focus was on Latin American clients. After establishing himself in Madrid, Spain, he went on to head up the production department of some of the most important agencies in the market, including El Ruso de Rocky, and David The Agency guiding the latter to a myriad of national and international awards. These days, Diego has recently been exploring innovative ways of producing content in a number of diverse projects, using his expertise to harness close collaborations with agencies and companies such as Wieden & Kennedy, Nowness, Adidas and Netflix, among many others. In recent years he has participated as a Film Craft juror in renowned festivals such as New York Festivals and Berlin Commercial. Outside of work, Diego is a life-long musician who works on his own tiny- home studio, an avid sushi-maker, and someone who is completely incapable of starting the day without a substantial cup of black coffee.
