ABOUT DIEGO RATTAZZI
Mechanical engineer with a PhD in Innovative Systems for Energy and Environment, I currently work as Technical Coordinator for innovation in the Building group at RINA. In this role, I lead cross-functional projects focused on sustainable development, digitalization, and energy transition—bridging technical depth with strategic vision to support innovation across the built environment.My background also includes early experience in aerospace manufacturing at Avio Aero (Turin), and a Master’s thesis carried out at VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland in Helsinki, where I focused on innovative energy systems and techno-economic assessment.I’ve been involved in international cooperation projects in Zimbabwe and Madagascar, which strengthened my commitment to applying engineering for meaningful, global impact.I’m passionate about innovation with purpose—where engineering meets environmental and social value. Outside of work, I enjoy outdoor sports and playing the guitar, two great ways to recharge and stay inspired.
