Management of the Footway Crossing service ensuring provision of an efficient and responsive service meeting stakeholder expectations.• Ensuring compliance with Highways and Streetworks standards.• Assistance in the delivery of the City Council’s statutory obligations as the high-way authority.• Manage the permitting of works on the highway and the delivery of the Footway Crossings service.• Develop and maintain close working relationships with other service providers including internal and external contracting resources, customer and safety services.• Assist in achieving equality of opportunity in service delivery and employment.• Assist in the implementation and review of operational practices, systems and procedures.• Represent the interests of the service group and the City Council as required.• Maintain the required level of specialist professional expertise in the performance of this post, whilst continuing to develop professional knowledge and expertise to meet future business needs.• Participate in and fully engage with the Personal Development and Review Process.• Understand and work within the policies and procedures of the City Council, including implementing Equal Opportunities in employment policy and the Directorate’s equality plans within the Division.• Any other duties commensurate with the grade.
