The Enterprise Architect wears many hats at the Franklin County Data Center, including - but not limited to - business analysis, project management, architectural design, engineering, support, and client communication. No two days are the same, and projects range in size and complexity. This role frequently meets with both FCDC engineering teams as well as agency partners, helping to bridge the communication between both, ensuring FCDC can deliver solutions that meet or exceed the client\'s needs.Key accomplishments include- Implemented an SD-WAN solution to provide resilient connectivity to numerous Sheriff sites to support a new body-worn camera initiative- Developed a plan to replace an aging network switching access layer- Orchestrated dozens of Wi-Fi network installations/upgrades, including:> Creating predictive Wi-Fi designs > Pre-deployment of Wi-Fi network settings to endpoints to ensure a smooth transition to a standard Wi-Fi configuration > Work with internal and external teams for access point / cabling installation per county standards > Perform validation Wi-Fi surveys to confirm proper coverage- Continually create and update internal documentation for engineering teams- Developed and executed a technology plan for two new RV-style vehicles used for community outreach, ensuring multiple county agencies can better support constituents in the field, and provided training for both the client and FCDC support teams to ensure a good experience for all- Designed and implemented an SD-WAN solution for a partner agency that operates independent of the larger county network, while ensuring the solution can be monitored and managed by FCDC engineers.
