ABOUT DERYA OVAYOLU
I am a freshman studying political science in Suffolk University. I am extremely interested in the law and political field. I studied Criminal Justice in my high school, helping me be one of the few in the area of study to earn the award of “Career and Technical Education Scholar.” I dedicated my time to clubs like Speech and Debate which I was the Secretary in, and SkillsUSA in which I was the captain who guided my team to be the first ever from Passaic County Technical Institute to win in the top 3 of the Criminal Justice Quizbowl. Along with these, I joined clubs that pride themselves in helping others like LEAP (Leaders Emerging Among Peers), Student Ambassador and Start with Hello. I am now continuing my passion, joining a fellowship with the Massachusetts Democratic Party, gaining leadership skills with Campus Compact and dedicating my time to the Suffolk University College Democrats. I am looking for ways to expand my knowledge and experience.
