ABOUT DERRICK BOAKYE BOADU

Derrick Boakye Boadu is a fellow of the prestigious Edward A. Bouchet Graduate Honor at Yale University, an honor recognizing excellence in doctoral education and scholarly achievement. He has earned numerous accolades, including the Anthony R. Abraham Scholar designation and fellowships with the Maurice A. Ferré Institute for Civic Leadership, the American Society for Public Administration (ASPA) Founder\'s Fellowship, and the Association for Public Policy Analysis & Management\'s (APPAM) Equity & Inclusion Fellowship. Derrick is also a Writing Fellow at the Florida International University (FIU) Graduate School and the Association for Writing Across the Curriculum (AWAC). He has won multiple essay awards, including the ASPA National Capital Area Chapter Public Administration Student Essay Competition. Derrick is a recipient of other prestigious awards, including the People\'s Choice Award at the FIU 3MT Thesis Competition and the Distinguished Professor Meier Inclusion Award at the Public Management Research Association (PMRA) conferences. Derrick specialises in local government administration, leadership theory and practice, public and nonprofit management, collaborative governance, sustainability practices, climate change issues, social urban policy. Derrick current research examines the management and collaboration of local government and nonprofit organizations, with a particular focus on housing displacement, distributed (shared) leadership practices, community engagement, climate gentrification, and emergency management. His research has been published in prominent journals, including the Cities and Public Performance & Management Review.With a triple master’s degree from Europe and experience working at the United Nations Headquarters in New York, Derrick is committed to advancing local government performance, collaborative leadership, housing equity, and policy innovation.
