ABOUT DENNIS NICHOLS

I am an operational and risk management leader with more than twenty years of progressive experience guiding organizations through complex challenges while strengthening performance, compliance, and strategic alignment. My background includes leading enterprise third party risk management, shaping policy and process within the Chief Risk Office, and building global operational frameworks that reduce exposure and support sustainable business outcomes.As a U.S. Navy Veteran trained in the Nuclear Power Program, I bring a disciplined and analytical approach to leadership that has supported my work across operations, customer service, risk, procurement, and finance. My education includes a Doctorate in leadership, an MBA, and advanced certifications in Six Sigma, project management, and insurance operations. I integrate research-based leadership principles with practical experience to create environments that support collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.I currently chair the Veterans Business Resource Group at Lincoln Financial and actively support enterprise-wide inclusion initiatives. My work in allyship, talent development, and community engagement has strengthened organizational culture and advanced the visibility of Veteran, military spouse, and diverse talent. I also serve in public board leadership position where I apply governance, strategic planning, and risk oversight expertise.Throughout my career I have led ISO 9001 certification efforts, managed multimillion dollar supplier relationships, contributed to the development of enterprise third party risk programs, and supported major integrations and organizational transitions. I believe in vision, transparency, and teamwork, and I use a communication style that supports effective project management and strategic decision making. I remain committed to delivering value through integrity, operational excellence, and a focus on long term impact.
