MOED: The Jewish Global Partnership for Multicultural Identities The Perspective: Looking on our initiative through a “Global” lensWhat Are We BuildingTo develop an international convening for Jews from around the world who identify as Ethiopian descent, MOED** or Jews of Color (JOC).Our PurposeTo create a global alliance of activists and professionals who are working to address challenges related to Jews who identified as being from Ethiopian descent, MOED or JOC within the Jewish community and are committed to engaging non-white Jews in Jewish life and or community.This is the first global forum of the kind, and will provide leaders the space, resources and relationships to gain a deeper understanding of the various ways non-white Jews envision the Jewish future. In addition, this global convening will serve as a foundation for developing tools to address specific issues/topics and create a cadre of allies, both liberal and Orthodox, including Israeli, American, British, Canadian, African and South East Asian. Jews need to be effective helping other non-white Jews and themselves establish a language for who we are as a people.*Diversity, Equity and Inclusion**MOED -(pr. mo-aid) The Moed is multiracial, multicultural and celebrates the diversity of the Jewish people, as a light onto the nations.
