ABOUT DEIDRE OLSEN
Hello! I\'m Deidre (pronounced dee-dree), currently serving as Social Media Content Creator at Satisfyer and Content Editor at Research-Attitude.My journey includes roles as Senior Content Marketeer at Firmhouse, Editor-in-Chief at Contentoo, Senior Editor at The Pointer, and Associate Editor at STOREYS. I\'m proud to have been nominated for a 2021 Canadian National Magazine Award, selected as a 2021 Westfjords Artist-In-Residence, and received a 2020 Canada Council for the Arts Emerging Artist grant in Literature. In 2019, I was honored as a Fellow in Global Journalism at the Munk School of Global Affairs and Public Policy at the University of Toronto.My writing has found homes in over 50 publications including The New York Times, WIRED, NBC News, Shondaland, The Cut, Refinery29, Vice, Salon, Narratively, Literary Hub, Maclean\'s, The Globe and Mail, and the Toronto Star. I\'ve had the privilege of judging the Canadian National Magazine Awards and John H. McDonald Awards for Excellence in Student Journalism, and co-hosted an equitable reporting workshop at the Ryerson School of Journalism.I have been recognized across media platforms, with features in The New York Times, ZEIT, Daily Mail, The Telegraph, Channel 4\'s Steph\'s Packed Lunch, NBC News\' Stay Tuned, CTV\'s Your Morning Show, and many others.I hold a Master of Arts in North American Studies from the John F.
