ABOUT DEAN SPICER
Dean Spicer, CFA, born at ~321.6 ppm CO2eHead of Sustainable Finance, ANZ New Zealand, based in Wellington. Dean has spent over 25 years in financial markets covering equities funds management and debt capital markets, both in New Zealand, the UK and continental Europe. Dean joined ANZ in 2006 on his return from London, where he had been responsible for interest rate and credit distribution to key UK and German investors. Initially director of credit sales and trading. He held the Head of Capital Markets position from 2008, until taking on his current role as Head of Sustainable Finance New Zealand in 2020, with a view to supporting the development of the Aotearoa NZ sustainable finance market.He was also part of the Aotearoa Circle’s Sustainable Finance working group in 2021, which established the report,\'Roadmap for a sustainable financial system by 2030\'. He was appointed a member of Impact Investing Network Advisory Committee in February 2026.
