ABOUT DEAN LEWIN

A hard working, trustworthy, honest and reliable person, who is also a fully focused, self-motivated approachable manager with a flexible approach and the ability to communicate with people at all levels. I have the proven ability to adapt to change quickly, and work under pressure ensuring strict deadlines, SLA and KPI targets are achieved. My knowledge has been gained in demanding and challenging FMCG environments, and this has enabled me to become a confident leader capable of working as part of a team, or on my own initiative. I have experience in managing across a wide range of logistical functions including budgets, agency resource, volume forecasting, customer service, auditing, warehouse management systems, resource planning, online retail (e-commerce) and distribution of products in a multi-temperature environment (Ambient, Chill and Frozen). I have experienced managing in both manual and fully automated facilities varying from 50k to 900k sq. ft. in size. Characteristically I like to lead by example, encouraging and championing change in the workplace through continuous improvement projects, whilst coaching, supporting and aiding the development of my team to provide the best level of customer service both internally and externally. I also like to build relationships that help me engage and motivate my team, giving them a feeling of real importance and value in the workplace. I have managed change driven by growth strategies having experienced and been part of start-up projects for several major organisations including M&S, Shell, BP, KFC, Haagen Dazs and Waitrose. I was most recently Warehouse Co-Ordinator for Nissin (UK) Ltd at their Leicester depot, responsible and accountable for all warehouse operations on site. There I was heavily involved with improving processes and procedures, whilst successfully building a new team of operatives and administration personnel, as part of another successful 3PL site start-up.
