ABOUT DAWNE DAVIS

I was #1-3 in my time slot as Midday Host on 98.1 in San Diego. Prior to moving back to San Diego, I had the opportunity to start a radio station from the ground up, one that had never broadcast before. Such a treat in this day and age. This entailed all of the research and detail-oriented-implementation of the operational plan, managing with less than state of the art equipment, supervised employees that were new to the business, mentored and coached employees into full performance level potential, coordinated all scheduling, and managed accounts receivable. In addition, I initiated new media engagement projects including social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, and interactive web 2.0 websites that would engage end users rather than present a one-way communication stream common of old media platforms. I also was responsible for all traffic/continuity and promotional events (from creating, implementing, materials and managing). I enthusiastically met each of these opportunities all while maintaining my dynamic on-air/in-person personality and ensuring a high quality media product. I credit being highly organized, dedicated, and passionate in conjunction with my strong work ethic and team player for my personal and professional successes. I always carry a can-do attitude and approach each new challenge as an unmet opportunity. Perhaps most importantly, radio media required me to get out in the community, listen and network, and to explore how our business could best serve our community and our clients. I am dedicated, passionate, hardworking, outgoing and a tenacious member of the team with strong attention to detail, highly organized, and a proven public image, then look no further. I hold an AA in Communications, am proficient in all Microsoft applications and market-based software. I know AP/AR, management, supervision and most office operations thoroughly.
