ABOUT DAVE B.
I lead enterprise technology and cybersecurity operations for a distributed organization operating at scale.My responsibilities span cybersecurity, enterprise IT, cloud infrastructure, platform engineering, and AI system architecture. I oversee a global organization of more than 70 engineers and technology professionals responsible for the reliability, security, and resilience of the platforms the business depends on.In addition to traditional CISO responsibilities such as security strategy, incident response, and governance, my role includes leadership of platform engineering and site reliability engineering across our production cloud environments, as well as enterprise IT operations. This integrated model reduces friction between security, infrastructure, and engineering while improving operational resilience and delivery velocity.My current focus is modernizing our technology platform through multi-regional cloud architecture in AWS designed to improve fault tolerance, reduce operational risk, and significantly strengthen service availability across critical systems.This work sits at the intersection of technology architecture, operational resilience, and risk management. I work closely with executive leadership and boards to translate complex technical tradeoffs into clear business decisions that balance speed, cost, and risk.I also lead technical due diligence for mergers and acquisitions and advise leadership on technology risk and architectural resilience.At its core, my work is about designing technology platforms that allow organizations to scale safely without sacrificing reliability.
