I began my career as Architectural Technician, progressing to Senior Technologist and now Associate. My duties and responsibilities include:• Ascertain and understand client requirements and work closely with the client to appreciate their aspirations.• Keep up to date on current policies and procedures and provide advice on Planning Policy which could influence projects.• Guide clients through the planning process and assist with all aspect of the application • Provide a high standard of technical information• Work closely with other Consultants and professionals as part of a design team• Preparation of technical designs and specifications sufficient to co-ordinate components in accordance with Building Regulations and statutory standards• Preparation of production information on a wide variety of projects in sufficient detail to enable tenders to be obtained and for construction purposes• Project manage developments and liaise with all parties involved• Administer and manage projects under various forms of JCT building contracts• Administer the building contract through to practical completion• Administer the building contract after practical completion through to expiry of making good defects period and final certificate• Work with building contractors post tender on Design and Build projects to produce working drawings and take the lead role with co-ordination of various consultants to ensure synergy in all aspects of the project.

ABOUT DAVID ROE
I have been employed with Building Link Design for over ten years. During this time I have gained a substantial amount of experience in a wide variety of sectors within the construction industry including: • Industrial • Commercial • Private Housing • Education • Health Care • Conversion and Refurbishment • Residential Care • Recreational and Leisure To date, I have worked on a variety of projects, including the relocation of Heron Foods distribution centre to a new industrial building. This building consists of a cold, chill and ambient section, with new office facilities to accommodate their existing staff. Another was the refurbishment of two Chiltern railways stations in Buckinghamshire. I work closely with the client to achieve the final product. I have also worked with RMT to provide new office and training facilities and the PCT on numerous Healthcare projects, both within the South Yorkshire area. The role I take within projects varies depending on the development and client requirements
