Chief Information Security Officer accountable to serve as the internal information security technical advisor to the St. Luke’s University Health Network organization and the Information Technology department. Accountable to maintain the interface between the information systems architecture and network operations departments and internal compliance department affecting all end users of the organization. Lead advisor responsible for assessment and mitigation of all security risks, vulnerabilities and concerns in coordination with all regulatory guidelines and internal policies. Perform information security risk assessments and works with internal and external audit departments for data security and vulnerability management initiatives. Consistently advises the organization and moves organization through implementation process for current information security technologies and to ensure constant adherence with HIPAA, HITECH and ONIMBUS regulations and requirements. Monitors through technical, digital and internal control systems to ensure that appropriate role based access is analyzed, network access levels are managed, and accurate mitigation steps are implemented in coordination with regulatory standards. Implement information security policies and procedures for the organization through digital systems that affect the data security of all information systems and data flow within and outside of the network. Initiate, facilitate, and promote communication plans to create information security awareness within the organization. Accountable to provide security training and security oversight to all employees, contractors, vendors, consultants and non-employees in order to ensure the proper network access and clearance in accordance with established organizational, federal, and state information security policies and procedures.
