Responsible for building a full procurement and inventory program. From policy and procedure creation to daily purchasing and inventory control this position is an all and everything role. Other key responsibilities include; RFQ, RFP and supplier contract negotiations for all sites and covering all areas of supply from fuel to fasteners. There is also a close working relationship with Accounting and Finance to build the GL and cost structure for key, accurate reporting. Logistics arrangements and warehousing management are areas that are under the management of this role as well. Truly stated this role is a cradle to grave of supply management of a $100+ million manufacturing business.

Coastland Wood is an industry leading Veneer and Core Manufacturer. I am proud to direct the Inventory and Procurement for the Nanaimo Mill and manage many of the corporate contracts that impact all our sites. Responsible for all Supply Management for a $100+ million manufacturing business. Areas of Management include: RFP\'s, RFQ\'s, purchasing, contract negotiation, supplier agreements and performance monitoring, inventory, warehousing, logistics, shipping & receiving, supervision, policy and procedure creation. Developed and implemented a new inventory program that aligns with our current ERP system. Collaboration with finance and accounting to develop a new GL coding structure to enhance reporting costs to centres. This is a very broad role that provides support so that our great people can keep our manufacturing facilities run efficiently.
