ABOUT DAVID DEAMER
David Deamer has a background in communications, but more recently relocated for a couple of years to Nusa Lembongan island off Bali to run a beach bar - although he kept some of his freelance comms work going while out there, working part-time and remotely as Head of Engagement and Events at the British Society for Phenomenology. For three or so years before that, he ran his own freelance communications company, pivoting from twenty years at BT in Manchester UK, where he eventually settled into a communications role after starting out in the service division. In a parallel career to BT, and over the same time period, he was a part-time lecturer at Manchester Metropolitan University teaching cinema and philosophy - in which he still dabbles in print.
