I am currently working for an electrical manufacturing and R&D business who also act as a UK agent in specialist machinery supplies. Techna manufactures and supplies a variety of different components varying from circuit protection gear and switching gear such as mcb’s, hydraulic magnetic breakers, terminals, contactors, plugs and sockets, rocker switches, CAN & LIN systems and pushbuttons in to a wide span of different sectors such as kilns and furnaces, motor controls, resistors and transformers, Ambulance charging, back up and emergency power supplies, BMS systems, national grid, trackside and rolling stock, MOD, Marine, FMCG, pump and filtration, Construction/ Agricultural vehicles and Bus manufacturers to mention as a few. In addition to this we also act as a UK agent for a number of German and American machinery manufactures for spooling and pay off equipment as well as straighteners and guide rollers, rolling mills, capping clutches, couplings and under rollers.The area I cover stretches from Western Supermere up to Mansfield managing over accounts all varying in size from £100 up to £350 k per year. It is my role to manage these accounts, add growth and to source new projects with OEM’s and engineering firms.The majority of my role is field based spending my time with existing clients, resurrected historic clients and hunting new prospects. My main objectives are to maintain stability in the current accounts, upsell and solution sell within these accounts and to hunt new business.
