KQED is one of the most watched public television stations and most listened to public radio stations in the country. Almost 1 in 2 Bay Area adults use at least one or more KQED services a week. KQED has an $100M budget and more than 350 regular staff. KQED is a nonprofit corporation which operates three noncommercial public television stations (“KQED,” “KQEH,” “KQET”) in San Francisco, San Jose and Monterey, and two noncommercial public radio stations (“KQED-FM”) in San Francisco and (“KQEI-FM”) in North Highlands. KQED also distributes its content and services via KQED.org, KQEDNews.org, and KQED Education as well as other digital and mobile media technology. KQED serves the people of Northern California with a community-supported alternative to commercial media. The Corporation’s television, radio, digital media and educational services seek to change lives for the better and help individuals and communities achieve their full potential.
