ABOUT DAVID BLACK

David Black here. I am a retired Navy Chief with 22 years of honorable service in the greatest Navy this world has ever seen. I spent those 22 years within the field of telecommunications, information systems, and leading Sailors. After I retired I took a position with the Department of Veteran Affairs within the PAO/Volunteer service. This is where I saw firsthand the different generational Veterans, from WWII to OEF/OIF. I saw the impact that our Veterans experience after their service, and I decided to resign my position and take a position as a Service Officer with AMVETS. This move expanded my support to not only Veterans but to their dependents. This decision afforded me an opportunity to truly be at the grass roots level to make a difference and serve those who served us.(Servant Leadership) I wanted to create a safe portal for our Veterans to explore opportunities to get back to work at the grass roots level and to provide a safe portal for individuals to show their support by posting TASK’s to be completed. Thus spawned TASKAVETERAN.COM Veterans can create a free profile. Others can post a TASK to get completed for a nominal contribution and a portion of that contribution will support a charitable Veteran organization.
