ABOUT DAVID ARMSTRONG

Working predominantly as Asst supervisor / Nightshift supervisor for the past 18months supervising ROV pilots and trainees in a variety of projects including the North Sea oil and gas sector, West Africa region carrying out new field component installations and inspections of current field assets. Or in the UK North Sea wind farm sector carryout out cable lay and trenching operations. Experienced in deep sea, shallow water, high current and low visibility conditions on a variety of ROVs conducting every array of operations. I work extremely hard on whatever task or project I\'m put on, I take great pride in doing my job to the best of my own, and everyone around me\'s ability. I routinely focus on making any project / vessel / ROV better than when I began on a trip whether this be improving the ROV operational status, the vessel condition (office/control room/workshop etc) and encouraging the same from those I work for / with. I find leading a team one of the most enjoyable working experiences in my working life, finding leading by example instead of ordering results the best method. I have experience in Workshop control/management duties, set up of after sales department and have obtained a IMI motor trade management qualification.Technically I am very experienced in complex vehicle diagnostics, repairs and maintenance, Troubleshooting and problem solving. Out with the motor trade I have experience in Hydraulics, electrics, electronics, pneumatics, fibre optics, robotics and ROV piloting. I work extremely well under tense and pressured situations, and although strange to some, actually enjoy it. I very rarely get stressed and find this a great trait to have in the industries that I have work in thus far in my life.
