At IBM CIC, I am currently building a replacement for a topological mapping solution, as well as maintaining the existing solution in production. This mapping solution takes critical data of one train network and maps it to positions within another train network, enabling important services like the real time train optimization engine, to then use these mapped positions across all of Switzerland. I also developed part of the new cloud-based, swiss-wide planning and ordering system for trains and train schedules within the SBB Infrastructure organization and took part in the maintenance of the legacy system as well.

ABOUT DAVID WAGNER
I was born in Friedrichshafen, Germany in January 1992. I finished my A-Levels (Abitur) in 2011 at the lake of Constance. Thereafter, I decided to do a voluntary service with the GIZ in Malawi, which eventually lead to me doing both my BSc and BSc Honors in Port Elizabeth, South Africa. Finishing my studies in 2016, I was given the opportunity to work for Amazon Web Services in Cape Town, for IBM in Bern, Switzerland, as well as for RMS GmbH, where I am currently employed.I am passionate about Computer Science and Science in general. I love working in a team and I am very team-oriented. Organizing and planning technical projects is one of my strengths and I am looking forward to take on new projects in future.
