I run the Marketing team here at Nash & Co Solicitors LLP. I love working here, the culture of the firm, the way that we\'re treated and valued, and the trust that the Managing Partner has in me doing my job. I get to work with some incredible clever people- some of the best law professionals in the South West. I would say that, I\'m here to promote them, but it\'s the truth! We share the common aim of being part of the very best law firm in Plymouth, and it\'s something I\'m very proud to be a part of. I\'m responsible for the development and maintenance of our website, working with some incredible designers and SEO experts, helping provide the right information to clients and potential clients as quickly as possible. I\'m also responsible for the Nash & Co brand. For me, that\'s everything about the firm. To begin with, that\'s the marketing strategy and general marketing of the firm. I put a huge amount of time and resource into our strategy and making it work as well as it can. We also have a specific tone of voice and type of personality that we use to market the firm. Overall, I\'m responsible for the social media marketing, though now am fortunate to have a Digital Marketing Executive helping with this. Since starting at Nash & Co, I have made both client experience and client service the most important aspects of what I do and what we do as a firm. As a result, we\'ve sought to make marginal improvements at virtually every interaction that a client has with the firm.The other hugely important aspect of my job is leading on our environmental work and our support for our local community. As a firm, we have a superb reputation for both. I get to work with and for some great people. I help businesses and marketing teams make better decisions about what to focus on, what to stop doing, and how to get more from the resources they already have.By day, I’m Marketing Manager at Nash & Co Solicitors in Plymouth, working across a wide range of legal services including employment, corporate and commercial, property, private client, family, and medical negligence.Alongside that, I run Building Brands. What started as a small idea has grown into a community of nearly 2,500 marketers across the South West, with events, dinners, sub-groups, workshops, a newsletter, jobsboard and event calendar for the whole SW, and conferences that bring people together to share ideas, build relationships, and improve how they work.A lot of what I do, both in my role and through Building Brands, comes back to the same thing. Helping people make marketing work in real situations, not those that you see on Tiktok or Instagram. The kind where time is limited. Budgets are being cut all the time. And expectations are still sky high.That’s also why I write Marketing Unlocked on Substack.
