Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities in systems and networks, ensuring proactive risk mitigation strategies.• Perform routine security audits to assess adherence to established security policies and standards, including NIST 800-53 rev. 5, NIST 800-37 rev. 2, NIST 800-171, SOX 404, and compliance audits.• Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and frameworks, such as GDPR and ISO/IEC 27001, to safeguard organizational data and operations.• Conduct IT risk assessments and review SAS 70 / SSAE18 (SOC 1 & SOC 2) reports; evaluate data centers, extranets, telecommunications, and intranets for access controls and security, ensuring data availability, accuracy, and security under all conditions.• Review IT General Controls (ITGC) and assess the security of various applications, databases, operating systems, and network devices to ensure robust security measures.• Audit financial statements to confirm their accuracy, completeness, and compliance with relevant accounting standards.Assess organizational compliance with financial regulations and policies, including the Federal Financial Management Improvement Act (FFMIA) and other applicable government regulations.Ensure that organizations are adhering to appropriate procedures for financial operations, including expenditures and revenue recognition.•Evaluate the effectiveness of internal control systems in preventing fraud and ensuring accurate financial reporting.•Recommend improvements to internal control procedures based on audit findings to enhance organizational security and efficiency.• Develop audit plans and strategies, considering risk factors, to guide audit execution and ensure coverage.•Prepare and present audit findings to management, stakeholders, and oversight bodies to ensure transparency and accountability.•Produce detailed audit reports summarizing findings, conclusions, and recommendations for corrective actions and process improvements.
