As the Multimedia Production Principal, I serve a few functions- The first is being an expert for our organization. I have worked in a variety of areas of film and commercial production developing a broad set of skills. Now, after years working with teams at ActiveCampaign to create a wide spectrum of media, I have developed an expertise in this particular type of production role: bridging the gaps between marketing, education, and product to create well rounded content to serve our current customers and bring in new ones. This expertise extends to educating and empowering employees to create their own quality multimedia content with confidence- The second major function of this role is bringing forward new programs that will bring a fresh perspective and have a major impact. One example is the shift in how we conduct customer stories - shifting from the all-too-common big picture success story to focus on those little wins and actions that make a difference, and are relatable to others who are early in their automation journey- The final function of this role is being a content creator. This means getting my hands dirty filming, editing, doing voiceovers, and for the first time - truly being on camera. Getting closer to the physical production after focussing on management and producing has been a real joy, and has helped me expand my creative thinking and has helped me bring more to the table when it comes to the above two points.
