I have held several leadership roles within Barclays, from leading engagement and communications to c13k technologists for Development Services, to leading the internal communication and engagement function for the Chief Technology Office, to my most recent post as Head of Innovation Communications and Engagement and Technical Writing lead for Group Shared Technology. This spans 4.5k colleagues and their communication requirements out to c90k Barclays’ colleagues. I also lead the Marketing and External Communication function for the Group Innovation and Partnerships team, which includes Rise, created by Barclays. I am responsible for supporting all Group Innovation initiatives, both externally and internally. My team consists of Tech Writing Specialists, External Communications andMarketing (inc. Social), as well as copywriting and design experts- Winner of 2024 Technology People Leader award- Saved annual £130k agency spend by building new internet capability within Rise.Barclays website while completing rebuilding the site to maximise user experience- Increased social media account followers to 28,420 (+14.7%), Number of Engagements 15,528 (+34.4%), and number of Posts 1,195 (+2.2%) for Rise, driving new innovative FinTechs into Rise’s ecosystem- Led communications for the Chief Technology Office for three years, creating the communication and engagement structure now used across GTIS and CTO and supporting an increase in CTO engagement to 84% in Your View surveys (Autumn 2023 results).
