Reporting into the Communications, Learning and Business division, I create and collaborate on strategic communications plans for initiatives such as the Alberta Surgical Initiative, a plan that strives to ensure that all Albertans receive their scheduled surgeries within clinically appropriate targets. We’re focusing on improving the patient’s surgical journey, from the time patients seek advice from their family doctor, to when they are referred to a specialist, to their surgery and rehabilitation.My portfolio includes Alberta\'s Pathways Hub and the Provincial Pathways Unit, Referral Pathways, Facilitated Access to Specialized Treatment (FAST), and Specialty Advice. I collaborate with multiple stakeholders across Alberta Health Services, the Alberta Medical Association, Alberta Health, and Primary Care Networks to ensure the work of Primary Care Alberta is well supported by insightful communications plans and tactics.
