ABOUT DANIELA S.
A designer, artist, and community advocate - Daniela uses her powers for good! For the past 3 years, Daniela has made it her mission to ask the right questions, learn as much as possible from her mentors, and take on a wide range of projects in order to become the talented designer she is today - and that work is never done! She has worked with a range of clients from UN Women to small businesses to create or improve their online presence. She was called to UX Design searching for the intersection of her love of creating, learning, problem solving, and serving her community. Her background in Communications, Education, and Health Sciences all shared the throughline of accessibility of information for those who need it, and giving a voice to those who are not always heard. She was originally inspired by the ability of a great user experience to take an amazing idea or service and make it accessible, and even enjoyable!Daniela is a founding member of Community by Design - a growing organization in San Diego designing community-based solutions as a tool against homelessness. Whether that\'s through prevention, improvement of shelter programs and conditions, or supporting those who have broken their cycle of homelessness. Our Community Building Playbook was awarded \"Most Innovative Solution\" at the WDC Design Policy Conference in 2024, and we are continuing to work towards community-based solutions in our city!Check out my portfolio website to learn
