Responsible for developing and executing a communication strategy using targeted communication channels to support conservation advocacy and education campaigns while crafting the overall narrative of HECHO’s work. The first year of a three-year communication plan to support HECHO\'s strategic roadmap resulted in the publication of nearly 196 editorial pieces, including articles, blogs, statements, and videos, a significant growth in followers and engagement across all of HECHO\'s social media platforms, along with a remarkable 677% increase in media coverage compared to the previous year.• Develop and implement a comprehensive communications strategy for both English-language and Spanish-language audiences, including an editorial and social media calendar, to authentically engage HECHO’s target audiences and to advance HECHO’s policy, advocacy, and education priorities.• Grow HECHO’s brand and reputation as a highly impactful, influential, and bipartisan conservation organization leader.• Oversee the strategic use of HECHO’s digital media (including website and social media platforms) by creating and executing innovative strategies. • Increase HECHO’s online followers, likes, shares, and maintain and grow HECHO’s email lists.• Write educational and editorial content in English and Spanish, including press releases, blog posts, fact sheets, issue briefs, letters, op-eds, and newsletters.• Serve as HECHO’s spokesperson and liaison with news outlets.• Identify opportunities for enterprise, in-depth media coverage of HECHO’s core issues and pursue them.• Work closely with National Wildlife Federation’s communications staff and seek opportunities for joint-communication projects, strategies, actions, and synergy.• Provide communications expertise and media coaching to the HECHO staff and assist withbroader coalition efforts that HECHO is involved in.
