West Midlands Ecology Lead – This involves preparing tenders, project and budget management, risk assessments, planning and carrying out survey work, undertaking ecological assessments for schemes of varying scale and complexity, designing ecological mitigation, monitoring and management plans, providing quality assurance for assessments and strategies prepared by colleagues, and liaison with stakeholders. I have line management responsibilities for ecologists from seasonal through to principal ecologists, for whom I oversee their training and development, and contribute to this through the provision of training on survey techniques/methods, data collection, assessment, and report writing.
