ABOUT DANIEL FREEMAN

Self-motivated, relationship focused and results driven business development leader with a background in first hand marine engineering coupled with senior business management experience. please see a small portion of my working life below.After spending 3 years training to become a 3rd Engineer officer of the Watch, I completed my HND level 5 to exemption standard and my oral examination with the MCA. During the past 3 years I have spent over 8 months working away at sea as an engineering cadet gaining experience on cruise ships, 2 and 4 stroke, and self-propelled jack up vessels, diesel electric. Since qualifying as a 3rd engineer, I have spent time on vessels in Amsterdam, experience to note was preparing the Seajacks Zaratan for its transit on a heavy lift vessel to Taiwan. once there I was part of the team involved with installing the first offshore wind farm in Taiwan. From there I helped prepare the vessel for its transition to becoming Japanese flagged. The Zaratan was sailed to the port of Akita in Japan, and I was once again part of the team involved in installing the first offshore wind farm, this time however, for Japan.Most recently I have made my largest career move to date. I was recruited to join the Williams Shipping Lubricants team and come ashore at the end of September 2021. I joined the team as their Technical Business Development Manager and with hard work and determination have progressed to the role of Head of Business Development for the Williams Shipping group focusing on business development strategy and execution, as well as high value customer and supplier account management. As part of the promotion I also joined the senior management team working with the other business heads and the board of directors to propel Williams Shipping forward.
