Accountable for the delivery and operation of all data, digital and technology solutions for two of NESO’s directorates: Strategic Energy Planning (SEP) plus Strategy & Policy (S&P).This entails being the technology partner for these directorates of circa 500 FTEs, managing all phases of technology solutions including acting as a system owner, delivering a circa £25m annual investment via an extended delivery team of (including permanent, partners and contractors) using Agile DevSecOps methodologies and a digital mindset.SEP directorate contains 3 industry critically functions Strategic Spatial Energy Plan (SSEP),Regional Strategy Energy Plan (RESP) and Centralised Strategic Network Plan (CSNP).These define pathways for all energy areas for the next 35 years,requiring modelling,spatial,stakeholder management and artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities.It also includes implementation of Distributed Energy Resources (DER)/Consumer Energy Resources (CER) Visibility and Access across the whole NESO technology estate.S&P directorate includes Energy Insights team (previously Future Energy Scenarios) plus advice to government policies.Both rely on modelling and robust and auditable insight solutions.Also responsible for enhancing and shaping Energy Market Modelling capabilities into a supported enterprise platform through execution of a strategic architectural vision.Another platform I am responsible for introducing for the whole of NESO is its Geospatial and Location Intelligence platform, enabling the whole company to create spatial models, visualisations and story maps. This will improve the quality and accuracy of our pathways and the way we communicate them to our stakeholders.On top of these, I have also delivered NESO\'s Beyond 2030 web map (providing a visual representation of our Clean Power 2030 report (CP30)) and am delivering an industry tracker for Ofgem and DESNZ plus Mission Control 2030 on progression of connections, enabling and transmission works.
