ABOUT DANIAL BETRES
I have a Bachelor\'s Degree in Management Engineering from the University of Waterloo, where I learned how to apply engineering principles and tools to solve complex business problems. I am currently the Co-Founder and CTO of Niya, a platform that helps independent restaurants and small chains launch a subscription-based loyalty program, leading to increases in customer retention, visit frequency, and spend per month.As the Co-Founder and CTO, I led the full stack development of Niya and launched with our first restaurant partner in one month. I hired and worked closely with our designer to enhance UI/UX design, and integrated with various third-party services, such as Stripe, Sendgrid, Twilio, and Square. I also co-founded two other tech startups in the past, Foodi and Emre, where I designed and developed mobile and web apps using AWS, and hired and mentored software engineering interns. I am passionate about creating innovative and impactful solutions that can improve the lives of people and communities. I value collaboration, learning, and feedback, and I am always eager to explore new technologies and domains. I believe I can bring diverse perspectives and experiences to the team, as well as strong technical and entrepreneurial skills.
