ABOUT DANIEL CELENTANO

I am an investment banker with over 35 years of experience guiding companies, their key stakeholders, and potential acquirers through the most challenging circumstances. I have acted as a leading advisor, structuring and negotiating innovative solutions for companies of all sizes facing a variety of challenges and opportunities, including many companies conducting the largest and most complex cross-border restructurings in the global market place. Notable assignments involved Adelphia (USA), Arthur Andersen (USA), Centro (Australia), Delphi (USA), Dubai World (UAE), Eitzen Chemical Tankers (Norway), General Motors (USA), Global Investment House (Kuwait), GMS (United Kingdom), LyondellBasell (USA and Europe), Ma’aden (Saudi Arabia), Olympic Airways (Greece), Pacific Drilling (Luxembourg / USA), Pacific Exploration (Colombia), TORM (Denmark), and ZIM Integrated Shipping (Israel). I deliver comprehensive financial advice with respect to business planning, liability management, bank and bridge loans, bonds, public and private equity, and M&A, as well as seasoned advice about how to successfully drive complex multi-party negotiations. I bring extensive experience from numerous industries including Airlines, Auto OEMs and Suppliers, Chemicals, Consumer Products, Financial Services, Food Processing, Gaming, Heavy Construction, Homebuilding, Hospitality, Industrials, Infrastructure, Media & Entertainment, Metals & Mining, Pharmaceuticals, Power, Real Estate, Retailing, Shipping, Technology, Telecommunications, Oil & Gas, and Waste Management. I pride myself in forging consensus whenever possible and in having achieved unanimous agreement in some of the most contested transactions. I am also proud of the “firsts” I have helped clients achieve in court-sanctioned solutions in various jurisdictions when necessary. I built and led widely-recognized restructuring advisory teams on both sides of the Atlantic; managed a valuation committee; designed and managed a credit approval / risk management committee process for bank and bridge loans, corporate bonds, and public and private equity offerings; served as a member of the investment committee of a successful private equity fund; testified numerous times as an expert; and chaired creditor committees in high profile cases. Passionate about education, I served as a trustee of a top-ranked independent K-12 school; taught over 1,500 newly-minted bankers the finer points of fundamental business, financial and credit analysis; and served as a director of the Global Board of the Turnaround Management Association.
