OVERVIEW: In 2011, I set out to compile all the knowledge gained throughout my career into a training course accessible by aircraft professionals of all backgrounds. I fully developed a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) authorized fueling safety program and since then have delivered training to countless attendees. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Seeing as this is a solo operation, I do everything. This includes forging partnerships with companies and schools to recruit students, leading training sessions, providing one-on-one mentorship, keeping the course up-to-date, and issuing certificates to students. KEY ACCOMPLISHMENTS & INITIATIVES: • Created training materials pertaining to FAA part 139.321, “handling and storing of hazardous substance and material” over the course of 5-months that were in line with FAA standards.• Established strong relationships with administrators and managers to recruit students from Purdue University Airport, Menzies Aviation, Signature Flight Support, Miami Dade Fire Department, Chicago Fire Department, Milwaukee County Fire Department, Total Airport Services, Vertiport, Care Plus, LLC, and more. • Received positive feedback from attendees who have added new policies to their internal inspection processes as a direct result of the greater knowledge of FAA regulations and best practices gained during the program.
