ABOUT CRISTINA PACELLA

During my experience at the Commission I specialized in European policy with a specific focus on corporate governance and company law. I mastered my understanding of the EU legislative process and interaction between institutions by actively participating in the draft of legislative proposals, policy proposals, background papers and impact assessments. Furthermore I deepened my knowledge of corporate governance theories and practice, especially in the European policy framework. I also improved my understanding of company law issues. I strongly developed my operational knowledge on the EU institutions functioning and my ability to monitor, understand and identify the most relevant elements of EU institutions work. I mastered my analytic and result oriented skills and develop the ability of writing dossiers with the analysis of regulatory and policy development. Previously, I reached a good level of knowledge and competencies in European financial regulation, publishing, among others, a chapter in a book and a research paper related to the field. Moreover I gained experience in project management, event organization and social media management. Concerning personal skills I am extremely accurate, flexible, well organized, result oriented and capable of meeting deadlines. I am an excellent team player, especially in multicultural environment. I developed outstanding analytical and synthetic skills. Great prioritizing capacities, in particular while dealing with huge amount of information. I am hard worker, highly committed to the job, extremely determined and reliable.
