ABOUT CRISTINA MONTEJANO
I’m a transfer student at UC Berkeley majoring in Economics with a strong interest in finance, asset management, and public policy. My journey into higher education was nontraditional. I began my career at a community college and worked in architecture and design for over three years. While I once viewed higher education as out of reach, that experience ultimately motivated me to pursue new opportunities and discover my passion for economics.At Berkeley, I’ve built a solid foundation in economic theory and quantitative analysis, and through the UC Investments Academy I’ve gained hands-on experience with portfolio analysis and financial modeling. I’m also active in student organizations that support underrepresented communities in business and economics, reflecting my commitment to mentorship and equity.Looking ahead, I aspire to build a career in finance and asset management, where I can leverage analytical skills to help individuals and institutions make sound financial decisions.
