Highly competent and motivated individual with 29+ years’ experience working at various levels on a variety of projects and corporate roles within the onshore and offshore oil and gas industry. My current role is Engineering Manager for Aker Solutions Lifecycle UK. Since joining the industry as a graduate mechanical engineer, I have progressed through the Aker Solutions organisation and held a number of senior engineering and management positions; as well as undertaking engineering design, modification, maintenance, and operations support roles. My most senior role was Vice President - Technical for Engineering, Modifications and Maintenance (EMM) UK which I held for 5 years. I am a Member of the IMechE and registered as a Chartered Engineer with the Engineering Council (UK) since October 2003. My current role within Aker Solutions Lifecycle UK is Engineering Manager. Reporting directly to the Vice President for Lifecycle UK, I am responsible for providing leadership and direction of the technical engineering disciplines within the Lifecycle UK business area for Aker Solutions. These disciplines comprise of Asset Integrity Management, Electrical, Instruments & Control, Mechanical, Metallurgy & Welding, Piping, Process, Structural and Technical Safety, Across these discipline areas I have ten senior managers directly reporting to myself that supported an overall team size of over 100 personnel. In February 2020 I was requested by the SVP for EMM UK to step (temporarily) into the Engineering Manager role on a challenging EPC contract in order to turn around and improve the engineering performance. As a result of COVID and a rationalization of the Aker Solutions EMM UK management structure this became a permanent role in March 2021. I undertook a key role within the contract and the working relationships and improvements I made throughout my time on the Contract culminated in Aker Solutions being awarded a further 5 year contract plus options with the client.
