ABOUT YONGYAN WU
Versatile engineer passionate about oceanic energy, with over 16 years experience in the offshore industry focusing on Semi, FPSO, and Spar systems, and 5 years in academic research on wave mechanics and wave/structure interactions. Currently serving as Sr. Principal Naval Architect at Aker Solutions Houston, leading/supporting major offshore projects globally. Published author of the first textbook on mooring, and more than 30 technical papers in ocean engineering. Invited panelist and speaker at multiple conferences and universities (OTC, SNAME, IPF, AFloat, ABS, SJTU, NTU, TAMU). Creator and Co-Inventor of V-Share Mooring™, an innovative system connecting two mooring lines from a single semi-submersible floater to one anchor. Since my publication, the V-Share mooring concept has been used in many projects and studies worldwide, including floating wind, solar, and aquaculture.
