ABOUT CRAIG GARDNER
Currently serving as Project Director at Laminar Projects, I lead multi-disciplinary teams across complex infrastructure programmes, overseeing three major projects and multiple improvement initiatives designed to enhance delivery maturity and organisational capability. This role marks a progression from my position as Director of Cost & Commercial Services — expanding beyond a purely commercial focus into project and programme management, governance, and change leadership. My remit now spans project controls, cost, commercial, planning, and change management, ensuring alignment between strategy, delivery, and performance across all workstreams. As one of three principal contributors to Laminar’s P3M Audit Report, I helped shape seven key recommendations that informed the creation of a new PMO Strategy and PMO Implementation Plan, strengthening portfolio governance, standardisation, and assurance across our engagements. I continue to drive initiatives that embed scalable frameworks, support continuous improvement, and build a high-performance, people-centred culture.Earlier in my career, I spent more than a decade within the specialist subcontractor sector, working across remediation, civils, utilities, drainage, enabling works, and M&E disciplines. That hands-on foundation gave me a deep appreciation for how effective project management and cost control connect field operations with strategic outcomes. An analytical thinker with a passion for improvement, I’m motivated by finding clarity in complexity — leveraging data, process, and collaboration to deliver better outcomes for teams and clients alike.Outside of work, I’m a DJ, vinyl collector, and music lover who balances early-morning swims and family weekends with creative pursuits and good coffee.I am also a Partner and Facilitator at The Legacy - an online men\'s coaching community.
